Was losing eye sight upon entrance but not significant to warrant terrible concern, by the end of his first semester he was complaining of vision problems.  By the end of his second year he was nearing blindness.  he struggled through the third year and could barely see, but the staff and his classmates all just wanted him to finish.  Before he could start his fourth year he as totally blind.  He lost most of his hearing at first, but complications were sort out to a differing ailment.  He hears fairly well, as good as most, but not as good as some blind people.  There is no extra hearing.   He was very much a ladies man his first year but mostly just a hang around during his later second and third year.   With help and surgery he was able to be adapted to a visor.   Rather than go home after rehabilitation, and not wanting to even try again he accepted enlistment.  He met Yi on his first tour.  The two stuck together and work together often.  Yi is his best friend.
