Personality & Traits

General Overview has a keen interest in the un-kempt behavior of the yester-year mechanic. The more rugged he can look, the better. To him it gives off an appearance of someone willing to get into the grit and get the job done.
Strengths & Weaknesses "Melancholy" - is rather distant when it comes to his past. When he thinks about what happened at his last assignment he becomes somewhat depressed.

"Itinerant" - Travels from place to place. Hasn't kept an assignment for more then six months in the last three years.

"Chagrin" - Unsatisfied with self. Specifically his ability to keep others alive
Ambitions "Desires Nepenthe" - Seeks to forget the pain of his past.

"Amends" - Desires to set his past right.
Hobbies & Interests Poker - Everything is fine if he can win a few credits here or there.

Drinking - A beer or two (or seven) might keep him from remembering who was lost or injured from his command.

Moonlight Sonata - A fine bottle of scotch and Beethoven might be depressing, but damn it the pain is something he and a bottle can share.

Personal History William was born to two scientists. His father, a star fleet officer, had met his mother on a mission of scientific discovery in which his mother was in charge of anthropology. The two met and married with in six months and then parted paths a year latter. William was born shortly afterward. His Mother, rarely spoke of his father and as such Marcus and his father never spoke until he entered the academy.

His father, who had served a seven-year tour on the USS Cousteau as chief science officer made an effort to see his son after learning about his conception shortly after Sarah's death.

The meeting between Mathew and William did not go well despite the offer to help William land a respected post on his ship. William found disfavor in his father's sudden intervention in his life and found a posting as far away from his father's ship as possible. Saying he never wished to see him again.

Although a Mathew still wish to see his lost son, William has done everything he could to elude him.
